I swear that it takes me longer than anyone to get something started. I have great(big, not necessarily good) ideas, like starting a long distance book club so my best friend and I can still do something together despite the 1800 mile gap between our lives, but I tend to think about the ideas rather than actually do them. Just like I have great ideas for my wedding, but here it is three months away and I am scrambling to get even the most basic of stuff done. Ridiculous! But as Leah helps me step by step with this huge event in my life, I realize how important this one idea among many is. To share something that isn't riddled with stress and fear(not about getting married, but making everything perfect). So it's time to start having fun together!
About the first book: I have already read much of the Rachel Morgan series by Kim Harrison, but it has been so long that I thought I would enjoy rereading them. Also, Leah and I have always shared a love for the supernatural but in different areas, so I was hoping that this book would be a "middle ground" we could start on. We may read the whole series or just a few before moving on to something else.
I don't know what course this idea will take or even how long it will last, but it has been a long time since I have let myself feel the giddy excitement of sinking into a book. Even longer since I have been able to share that excitement with someone. I think it is time to get started and see if that ability to completely lose myself in a book is still there or if it has changed too like so many other things.
Love it!!!!
