Book: The Good, the Bad, and the Undead
Author: Kim Harrison
Ok, so here's the thing...I read the second book and loved it. But...that was right before I went off to inhabit Zombie land that I am assuming most people visit before they get married. I was not very pretty, lost all capacity for intelligent communication, and would take large chunks of metaphorical flesh out of anyone who irritated me. My wedding with Leah's help + Charlie, went beautifully and it could not have been more perfect. But right up until the day before I was not really here. So that is my defense for the huge gap between my blogs and Leah's. Also for the fact that I know I loved the second book, but can't really remember enough to right my own original blog. That is why I am going to right a quick response to Leah's blog on "The Good, the Bad, and the Undead", before starting fresh on the next one. I'm all for fresh starts. They help me so much when I get distracted which is all the freaking time!
I loved the idea of picking actors to play the characters in the book! Not so sure about some of Leah's choices though. She went for the obvious actors which is totally okay, but some just didn't quite fit...to me;P So here are my picks:
Ivy: Rhona Mitri because she is perfect for Ivy! Shined as a vampire in Underworld; Rise of the Lycans and isn't so well known as Angelina Jolie so she would steal the spotlight from
Rachel. Also, is more svelte that Jolie which is how Ivy is described in the books.
Jenks: Ryan Renolds mostly just because he is the closest to what I imagine Jenks looks like. He isn't quite as sarcastic but I think there is definite potential there. He is funny and sensitive and would look pretty natural as a pixie. Again not quite as big a personality as
Jim Carey either.
Trent: He is a tough one just because he has to have a dark and light side, but at the same time look good with almost white hair. So so difficult. It's not quite how I picture him looking,
but I think that Craig Parker from Lord of the Rings would do well. (Don't roll your eyes,
Leah. Look him up and think about it) But Jude Law was a good option also. I just think
he isn't...aloof enough to be an elf.
Piscary: He should so be Ben Kingsley. There isn't anything else to say.
Otherwise I totally agree with Rachel being Rachel McAdams and Kist being Bradley Cooper, and Nick being Jake Gyllenhaal. They are perfect.
So this concludes my blog attempt for this book. Sorry it was kinda brief but it will get better! Promise=)
okay.... so I'm not good with thinking up actors on the spot.... but rhona... yeah youre right. i didnt even think of her. i loved her in doomsday. and ben as piscary... i googled him and yes! perfect. craig parker... ehh... looks a little to goofy. i see a more refined guy. ryan reynolds is good too. i was also thinking that emma stone would be good as rachel. good blog though!! haha. i still got three two write now! :)
